Overall I was a little disappointed in EVA Air’s “The Infinity” Lounge in the Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE). Especially given that this is EVA Air’s largest hub. The decor resembled something out of a Tron movie, there was no seating and the food was not very appealing. If you have a choice, try one of EVA Air’s other lounges, or even the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge which is usually less crowded.
Location of EVA Air Infinity Lounge
EVA Air has four lounges at the Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) – The Club, The Garden, The Star and The Infinity. I have lounge reviews of both The Star and The Infinity but not the others yet. They are located one level above the main concourse in Terminal 2. After passing security and immigration take the escalators up one level.
Access to EVA Air Lounges at Taipei Airport (TPE)
Access depends on what type of ticket you have and if you have elite status with EVA Air, or another Star Alliance partner.
- The Club – EVA Air silver members
- The Garden – Eva Air Diamond members
- The Star – Star Alliance Gold members (or business class passengers)
- The Infinity – business class passengers only
You can actually do a pretty cool walk-through tour of the lounges on their website.
The decor of the lounge is very.. unique. While I appreciate the futuristic theme, it didn’t feel quite as luxurious or relaxing as some of the more refined lounges (Cathay Pacific’s “The Pier” in Hong Kong, Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Singapore). I’ll let you be the judge.
I will say that the lounge was pretty crowded, similar to what other travelers have noted. I have heard that the Singapore Airlines lounge across the way is much less crowded. Unfortunately it was closed when I was there though.
EVA Air Lounge Food and Beverages
Showers and Restrooms
There were four showers with various names and themes. Unfortunately they were all occupied so I didn’t have a chance to check them out.
The wifi worked without any issues while I was there.
Lounge Review Conclusion
Overall I must say I was a little disappointed with EVA Air’s “The Infinity” Business Class Lounge in the Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE airport). The decor resembled something out of a Tron movie and the food was not very appealing. The lounge was very crowded and showers were fully occupied while I was there. If you have access to both, I would say choose “The Star”. As noted in my previous lounge review of “The Star”, it was less crowded and more relaxing, and the food was nearly identical. They are both together so it wouldn’t be hard to visit both as I did during my layover in the Taipei Airport (TPE Airport). Unfortunately I did not get to check out EVA Air’s The Garden Lounge for Diamond members, or the Singapore Airlines SilverKris lounge, but I would imagine they are better than “The Infinity” as well.
